BBC Radio 1Xtra host, presenter and DJ Nick Bright can be seen fronting multiple formats across linear and digital.

Nick has been hosting his own show on BBC Radio 1Xtra for 13 years, interviewing hundreds of artists and broadcasting new music every week since he started through to today. Nick’s current slots on the station are Friday and Saturday mid mornings. On Saturdays, Nick fronts one of 1Xtra’s most popular segments, ‘My Dad Describes’

Since 2021, Nick has been hosting cricket’s newest format, The Hundred for BBC Sport. Breaking down the barrier-to-entry for new cricket fans, Nick is part of the dynamic entertainment focussed strand which gets fans old and new involved in following The Hundred.

Shifting from cricket to football, Nick can be spotted every season presenting Breakdown Live for Arsenal Digital. The lively pre-match and post-game chat show has a mix of fantastic pundits, celeb guests and fans. Nick has interviewed the likes of Little Simz, Logan Paul, Babatunde Aleshe and more.

Previous sports formats he’s fronted includes 'Barber Shop Ballers’ for the World Cup and ‘Decoding Athletes’ the official Red Bull Podcast.

For the last few years, Nick has been the resident host of the BBC Share Your Story Tour, where he travels around schools in the UK interviewing a range of inspiring figures from the area. Year on year it has expanded the reach of the BBC for under 18s.

Starting off his career as a DJ prior to 1Xtra, Nick has performed as a DJ all around the UK and Europe. This led him onto hosting the weekly chart for MTV which he continues to this day.
